POPULAR DANCES WE TEACH
Salsa
Salsa dancing features break steps, spins, showy performance moves and drops, and solo moves called “Shines“.
Rumba
Full of sensual movements, the romantic and slow Rumba is considered by many to be the sexiest of the ballroom dances.
Swing
Swing is one of the most popular ballroom dance styles among young and adult couples. It is lively, fast and uninhibited. This dance form is all about energy and the legs are constantly demonstrating a pumping motion.
Waltz
The waltz is a “mother of all dances”, it is a simple, elegant ballroom dance that is often done with a partner. It follows a slower tempo and uses “the box step,” a series of 6 movements that form the shape of a box.
Tango
American style Tango allows its practitioners to separate from closed position to execute open moves, like underarm turns, alternate hand holds, dancing apart, and side-by-side choreography.
Viennese waltz
The Viennese Waltz is a classic dance style that is featured in many romantic movies and animated films. It is characterized by sweeping, graceful turns that rotate quickly around the floor. It is danced at a much faster tempo—twice the speed of the slow Waltz.
